Delete your Commute Magic account

You can delete your account yourself, in about ten seconds, without asking anyone. If you cannot get into the app — you have uninstalled it, changed phone, or lost your password — you can ask us instead, and this page is that route.

From inside the app

Settings → Account → Delete account. It asks for your password, because deleting is the one thing that cannot be undone and an unlocked phone should not be enough. A Google-only account re-proves itself with a fresh Google sign-in instead.

It happens immediately. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email to wait for.

If you cannot get into the app

Email support@thepocketappcompany.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my Commute Magic account. We delete it and reply to confirm, normally within a few days and always within 30 days.

We ask you to write from the signed-up address because it is the only thing we can check. We hold no other way to identify you: no phone number, no name, no payment details.

What is erased

• Your email address and password hash.
• Your settings: route, report time, landing margin, airline, role.
• Your duty roster and any corrections you saved.
• Every flight or routing you confirmed, so you stop appearing in anyone else's crew count.
• Your answers about how mornings went.
• Your devices and sessions, so notifications stop at once.
• Any crash report or message you sent from the app.

What remains, and why

The prediction and alert log is append-only and is kept for model evaluation. After deletion it carries no email, no name and no token — only an internal number that is no longer connected to anyone.

That number is never reused. This is deliberate and the reason the account row is emptied rather than removed: the database would otherwise hand the next person to sign up the number a departed user had, and with it a commute history that was never theirs. Keeping one scrubbed row forever is the cost of making that impossible.

Your subscription is separate

If you subscribed through Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription — we cannot cancel it for you, because Google holds it, not us. Cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Do that first if you want billing to stop.
